Acknowledgement of Greater Wellington charges over Moa Point discharges
Tiaki Wai has been notified that Greater Wellington Regional Council has filed charges in the Wellington District Court concerning breaches of the Resource Management Act and of an abatement notice arising from the Moa Point Wastewater Treatment Plant.
We acknowledge the significant impact issues at Moa Point have had on the environment and Mana Whenua, as well the community and local businesses. We remain resolutely focused on recovering the plant as quickly as possible.
Tiaki Wai is considering the charges and will not be providing any further comment while the matter is before the court
