Kipling Street and Bannister Avenue Wastewater Renewal Project

We're undertaking the renewal of a wastewater pipe that services Kipling Street and Bannister Avenue. The pipe needs to be replaced as it is in poor condition. This upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening the wastewater network and minimising the risk of overflows and unplanned maintenance.

The first phase of works start in August 2026 in Kipling Street, and include a section of Bannister Avenue and Elliot Street. Phase 2 works are scheduled to start in late November and be completed by February- March 2027.  This involves reconstructing the existing wastewater pipe from 40 Kipling St to 31 Elliot Street.
